Foamiran Flowers - my first Tutorial

Hi there,
I would like to present my first ever tutorial, showing how I make
Foamiran flowers.

to die cut the petals, firstly I fold the foamiran in three or four depending on the size of the die, although with the long die I used one strip of foamiran to cut them out,
I used two colours of oil pastel to put on the petals with a piece of sponge,
I like to only colour 3 petals of each flower, turn them over and do the same on the other side, this gives a graduation of the colours on the petals I think,

next, with a stick I held each petal to my craft iron for 4 or 5 seconds until it started to curl,

place the warm petal onto a sponge (a cleaning sponge with a dry baby wipe for a cover) press with either the stick or an embossing tool, (thank you for the tip Bev Rochester)

after pressing the petal into the sponge twist each of the petals together between thumb & forefinger while still slightly warm, this gives the petals some shape,
after they are all twisted, uncurl each one and slightly press out each petal between thumb & forefinger or you can use the end of the embossing tool to do this, to give more shape to the lower part of the petal,
using a hot glue gun put a touch of glue into the centre of the petal and then place another one on top of this offsetting the petals to make a flower,

after folding 3 or 4 stamens in half, take a piece of wire, I use a cut off flower stem to do this,
put a little touch of hot glue onto the middle of the flower and pull the stamens through, once happy with how they look, dab a little hot glue onto the back of the flower to  secure the stamens in place.

finished flowers.

Thank you for spending time to read my long tutorial, I hope it was helpful for you!

I have to say there are many lovely YouTube videos out there to watch on how to make
Foamiran flowers, I hope my photos give you a slightly better idea seeing the steps I use!

until next time stay safe & happy crafting..
